I was born at home on the same place I live now.  My uncle drove Papa's bus to get the doctor.  (My grandfather owned his own school bus.)    Mama and Daddy thought I was a very cute kid.  Something went terribly awry!!!!!!

I attended Fomby school from first through sixth grade.  My mother taught my first grade and then she transferred to Ashdown School.  I hated to leave my mother but I survived.

Then we went to Ashdown High School from seventh through twelfth grade.  We, being Edith and Ethyl Ardwin, Mary Ruth Mullins, Pauline Merrel, Mary Sue Surber, George Pickett, Margie Clay and me.

I went to Texarkana College for one year and then went to Dallas where Edith and Ethyl lived (1959).  I worked at a couple of insurance companies and a bank. My onlychild was born 12-20-63 (Chris Moon).  I got married 8-4-62.  I divorced in 1964.

When my son started to school, I started college again(TC).  I graduated from Southern State in Magnolia in 1973.  (Now Sothern Arkansas University)  I also did graduate work in the early nineties at TAMU-T.

I married Tillman McElhannon on June 29, 1981.  He was a very nice guy.  Tillman died on February 9, 1994.

I retired from the department of Human Services in Ashdown after twenty five years.

Travel was what I always wanted to do.  I had several sojourns to Europe, Ireland, Israel, Aruba, Bahamas, Scotland, and England (Annette went to Scotland and England with me.)  We had a blast.  But when it comes to travel, Annette has it hands down!
