I left Ashdown in ’58 to attend business school in Shreveport and after graduation remained there to work at an insurance agency.  It was there that I met and dated my future husband (Freeman Mains) who was attending LSU at the time.  We married in 1961, and we worked in Shreveport until Freeman was transferred to a field office in South Texas where I went to work for a hospital, then later the State of Texas and after another round of transfers by his company to Shreveport where I became a stay at home mom and then to Houston, Texas, where we currently reside.  Along the way we had two children, currently four grandchildren and a lot of fun.  Freeman has retired and we travel some. Our last trip was to Peru and we had the opportunity to visit Machu Picu in the Andes Mountains.  But, our favorite pastime has got to be the grandkids, however  we do make a lot of live music shows. I sang in a choral group here in Houston for several years, a carry over from AHS Choir (I think) but have retired and now am vocal member of the audience.  We also play some Bridge and make a few fun tournaments.  I am looking forward to revisiting some old memories and ’58 classmates.
