After high school I went to Louisiana Tech and then worked in the aerospace industry for a few years in Orlando and New Orleans. We moved to Dallas in 1965. In 1972 I went to work for Haggar Clothing on a project to automate pattern layout and ended up staying for 26 years.

In 1994 we bought a weekend (we thought maybe it could be for retirement too) home on Lake Cypress Springs just south of Mount Vernon, TX. In 1998 I left Haggar and we moved to Michigan where I worked for Carhatt until retiring in January 2002. Susan spent most of our last Michigan year back at the lake supervising a remodel job to get the lake house ready for full time living. We are enjoying retired life and living in the country again. Nobody told us that retirement would be so busy.

We have four daughters and seven grandchildren. Three of the families live relatively close by - Grand Saline, Dallas and Austin. The other one escaped Dallas last year and took two grandchildren with them to New Jersey. They are hoping (probably not as hard as we are) to get back to north Texas in the next couple of years.

I'm looking forward to seeing all of you in October.
